Principal's Message
I would like to introduce myself to all incoming sixth graders and new
students to Morrill Middle School myself. I am Anjanette Winckler and I
have been working as a principal in the Berryessa Union School District
for four years. I first was a principal at Noble Elementary School, and
this is my second year here at Morrill. I would like to extend a warm welcome to all Morrill students and parents for the 2012-2013 school year. At Morrill Middle School the mission statement is: "To prepare each student to be successful in high school and in life. This is accomplished by providing our students with a safe and positive environment that supports their learning. Through high expectations for behavior and academics, we will guide students as they acquire the knowledge, skills, and attitudes that foster an enjoyment of learning, a respect for them selves and others, and the ability to become responsible citizens." The staff is dedicated and will work hard to ensure your child receives a strong educational experience. Morrill Middle School teachers will foster literacy, promote an understanding for mathematics; explore the world of science and social studies, while integrating technology into the learning process. |
Parent Involvement
Parent involvement is important and your child will have a better
school experience if you know what is going on at school. All teachers
need your help to ensure students succeed, so please make sure you
participate in your child's educational journey and keep up with the
activities and educational opportunities at Morrill Middle School. Here are some helpful ideas:

Early Release Wednesdays
This year all parents and students will need to pay particular
attention to the school calendar. If you look closely it will show that
on every other Wednesday there is an additional early release day. We
will continue to have Thursday early release days each week. The first
Wednesday early release day is September 5, 2012. All students will be excused from school at 1:47 p.m. You will then notice every other Wednesday is an early release day. Please join us on September 13h for our Back to School Night. This evening provides an opportunity to meet your child's teachers, learn about the curriculum, and understand the educational objectives and procedures of each class. More information about Back to School night will be provided soon. Please don't hesitate to come by or call should you have questions regarding your child's education. School begins
